This is Lily, the lamb who was rescued from the Copley commons. She spent her first few weeks at the Space Station being (s)mothered by our puppy Genie and now she’s looking pretty happy with her new friend Spud at Maynard’s Well. It’s good to have a best friend. This photo comes from Morgaine.

ps This is a picture of Lily before she found her new best friend!

  6. excuse me please Rose, but are you aware that children read this blog as well? Sioban and Morgaine were horrified at your ‘joke’!! As adults, we can see where you have come from with this, but, the animals in the photo are their pets. I think your comment degrades the magnificence of the peaceful relationships which have developed between these animals because love is the motivation in their care. I know you love your animals and would not like this type of comment directed at them. One thing to always remember is that thoughts, no matter how innocently contrived can become reality when spoken aloud. This is how children think as well.

  7. Okay, I apologise for that comment. However I did think that the girls knew me better than to think I would want to eat their pet lamb, much less their dog!

  13. Two months down the track and Lily has grown into a quite
large/healthy lamb. She fills hers and our days with mischief, fun and laughter. Its a pleasure to have Lily join our patch!!
