A sad farewell this week to a much loved Copley character, a connoisseur of fine and other foods, a stegosaurus in a jack russell’s body, a good friend and gentleman. Lots of love and safe trip to you, Mr Anderson.
Farewell Mr Anderson. Also it’s the anniversary today of the passing of another fine Copley canine one year ago, the legendary Laika the space dog. All good dogs go to heaven, so no doubt Mr Anderson and Laika are even now sitting by the Big Gates together vetting all who want to enter in their classic style. Two huge beings in tiny dog bodies. May they Rest in Peace.

I’d like to pay a tribute to Di’s little mate, Mr. Anderson. Noting here that Di’s choice in companions is similar to my own. You can’t beat the little Jack Russells for character companionship, loyalty and diligence. Regrettably we lost a pigeon pair to Andy last year and had they known each other they may have made a great couple if Andy would have been prepared to let Gemma “wear the pants”.
However as God works in mysterious ways, it’s probably that they have already sussed each other out and who knows, the next little “Jacky” entity that comes along could well be the offspring of a higher nature at work.
Will look forward to hearing the sounds of little toenails soon.
Farewell for now Andy
It was wonderful having Andy Starick in our lives and we miss him
already. This little ‘stegosaurus’ has a very special place here at
Maynards. May your resting place be filled with food!!

thank you all for your thoughts. Yes, Andy, aka Mr Anderson and Andy-poo, was a special little man, a gentleman. His spirit and hair will remain with me forever.
I would like at this point to send my condolences to the Hawking family for their loss of their cat, who was also run over.
It seems those special animals who came into our lives have chosen to depart at this time, having done their part of melting into our hearts to soften them against life’s armour.
Thank you little friends, your time with us, although short, has worked little miracles in touching our spirits, showing us what unconditional love is all about.
It was a priviledge to be at Mr Andersons farewell gig! Andy was delighted with the turn-up and the fire and the entertainments and offerings provided to bid him safe and peaceful passage. Genie has been missing Mr A but has many great memories and learned a lot from watching and following Mr A around the garden and we could never stop Genie from his early morning Mr A visits, thanks Mr A for gracing the planet with your beautiful energy.
Soooooooo sorry to see the demise of Andy you sure did have some great times with him.
By the looks of things he was welcomed very much into the community just as you are.
I know you shall miss him terribly it was a really sad occasion as you had 2 personal losses almost at the same time.
His tribute has been sent onto his original owner
Keep busy my good freind ok
