post Home Lost in Fire

A  William St home was destroyed by fire today. Leigh Creek Fire Brigade acted promptly  but unfortunately were unable to stop the fire from spreading to the entire house in time as the water access point in William St was in disrepair. Hoses were fed through to Murray St and the fire was contained, much to the relief of concerned neighbours.  No one was hurt.

post Trashing Copley

February 29th, 2008

Filed under: Bits and Pieces — newseditor @ 12:10 pm

Someone has been dumping domestic rubbish on the commons near North Terrace. There are plenty of ways to dispose of garbage in Copley. Everyone knows someone with a car and trailer. Aroona Council have a trailer for hire. CDEP do a rubbish collection once a week. Every inch of earth is sacred and worth caring for. There is no excuse for crapping on your community and nobody wants to see your garbage blowing through the streets. Clean up your act, litterbug!

Of course, if you think it’s ok to dump trash on the side of the road, have your say and leave a comment.
