It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us; we were all going directly to Heaven, we were all going the other way…

One year has passed and it seems the time to let this document drift off into electronic oblivion as an archive of life on Earth, somewhere, early 21st century.

post The Last Gasp / A Breath of Fresh Air

November 17th, 2008

Filed under: Bits and Pieces,Spirit — newseditor @ 9:13 am

This week our site reached 10,000 hits and the prophetic Mayan calendar clicked up a notch to the Age of Ethics: time to get it together. Character assassination, cockfights, rumours, psychic vampirism and other outpicturing of base mammal politics is all a bit yesteryear (yaaawn) and not bringing anything useful to the table. Quite frankly, who’s got the time? If you do, that’s a bit of bad luck, here’s a clue what to do with it rather than trying to dump it in this domain. This site is dedicated to celebrating life, love and laughter in this magical part of the world. Do yourself a favour before you shuffle of the mortal coil: become alive! Release yourself from idiotic grudges! Enjoy diversity! Laugh heartily! Celebrate nature! Speak your truth and share your best. In the words of the freewheeling hobbit, BE the change you want to see in the world. If then you discover your gifts, we look forward to seeing you at the table.

post ABC Review Interview Summary, with Apologies

September 5th, 2008

The ABC have reviewed the transcript summary of a recent SA Country Hour article on the withdrawel of funding for the Copley Newsletter, now the Copley Phoenix, and the decision by the CDPA to delete the Community News site from the Copley community domain. The summary has been amended with apologies to the Editor of the Copley Newsletter for misrepresentation. For the record, no notification or correspondence has ever been offered from the Copley and Districts Progress Association to explain why this Community News site was deleted from the Copley community domain by request of the Copley and Districts Progress Association.

The amended summary is published here, see below for an excerpt of the letter from the ABC.
