Back to Beltana is happening this weekend, September 27 -28th in the historic Beltana township. Come along for a game of bocce, camel rides, stalls, competitions, costume parade and general Beltana style cosmic fun! There will be a dance on Saturday night, ladies, frock up and bring a plate. On Sunday morning there will be a church service at the Smith of Dunesk Mission.

  1. a few of us went and got involved in one of our neighbour town’s celebrations. The weather was not advantageous for outside activities unfortunately, but the Bocce Ball championship went ahead regardless. The stalls held some wonderful surprises, but the best thing there from my point of view were the people who come back every time. Thanks to Janice who organised the event. It was good to see Margie as well. There were a lot of Nicholls family present after the special service at the church. It was interesting to talk with a lovely lady from Scotland who was an descendent of the man who organised the building of the church…a Dunesk, I believe. She was telling me a story of her connection to Beverly who lives at Beltana and her family. Fascinating and so coincidental? I do hope the dance at night was well attended and that everyone had fun.
